II_CIC Launch.jpg

We are a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) as of April 2021.

What is a CIC? I hear you ask...

It's a "social enterprise that want to use their profits and assets for the public good."

But what does that mean?

Anything we do has to benefit people and any profit we make goes towards projects that benefit people. We are run like a normal company but all profits have to go back into communities in a positive way.

our Activities

Listed below are the activities we will undertake to benefit people living in Scotland.

Research & Education

We aim to raise awareness of alternative ways of living such as co-housing and circular economies through on-going research studies.

This research will be gathered through public engagement and our findings will be shared through exhibitions and publications. This will educate and inspire the community about more sustainable ways of living.

Public Consultation & Community Engagement

We will carry out public consultations to empower communities, helping them identify and prioritise their needs.

The community will benefit as they will have the opportunity to be heard and express their opinion on the development of their neighbourhoods.

We have developed a unique methodology for public engagement, which is designed to be fair and transparent. It allows everyone to voice their opinion, not just the loudest in the room.

Sustainable Product Development

Developing practical and sustainable products based on circular economy principles - such as reusing plastic waste.

We aim to get the community involved through all stages of the process, from collecting plastic waste at beach cleans to helping with the manufacturing process. Therefore it will benefit the community on several levels, teaching them new skills and how to live more sustainably.
