Cohousing Scotland, Glasgow

Hosted in association with Clachan Cohousing, which is developing a multi-generational community of 16 households and a shared house in the Maryhill area of Glasgow - on a collective self-build basis. In the process of submitting a planning application, for homes aiming to be of the highest eco standards, and managed as a Mutual Home Ownership Society.

Session 1: 5.30pm to 7pm (a chance to play the imagine if game and learn about cohousing and local initiatives)

Session 2: 7pm to 8.30pm (a guest panel will lead a discussion about new directions for housing in Glasgow)

This is our third event supporting Cohousing Scotland, which aims to start conversations about cohousing with as many people living in Scotland as possible. Our next events will be in Edinburgh, Inverkeithing and Lenzie throughout June 2022.

We will be bringing our Imagine If game to these events which can be played by any age. Our game encourages people to think about shared community resources and what is important to them in their home. You can find out more about our Imagine If game here>

Who are Cohousing Scotland?

Cohousing Scotland are a Charity representing Scottish community-led housing that is run by the residents themselves. Coho Scot act as a support forum for local Cohousing groups, fostering best practice, promoting opportunities and providing guidance to stakeholders. Their ambition is to help create the choice of inclusive, sustainable housing, that responds to the needs of local communities and puts decision making back into their hands.
